Tomorrow’s technology workforce is taking shape right here in the Indiana Uplands, starting with students at the Indiana Uplands Microelectronics Academy.
Join us for the Indiana Uplands Microelectronics Academy Open House and discover how students are preparing for meaningful careers in the region’s growing microelectronics sector. Through Regional Opportunity Initiatives’ (ROI) MOMENTUM program, the Academy helps students gain the skills, experience, and industry connections needed to prepare for local careers in microelectronics critical to our nation’s security.
Whether your student is already interested in engineering and technology or simply enjoys learning by doing, the Academy Open House offers families an opportunity to explore and experience its hands-on learning environment, learn how students are prepared for success, and discover the many career opportunities available through this innovative program.
Visitors will have the opportunity to experience what makes the Indiana Uplands Microelectronics Academy unique through a variety of interactive activities and guided experiences, including:
- Tours of the Academy’s training spaces
- Hands-on activities that provide a glimpse into the skills students develop in the program
- Opportunities to explore the advanced equipment and technology used in training
- Information sessions about the Academy, college credit opportunities, industry-recognized credentials, and career pathways
- Time to meet Academy staff and partners, ask questions, and learn more about the student experience

Who: Families from ROI MOMENTUM’s participating school districts – Bloomfield School District, Loogootee Community Schools, Washington Community Schools, Barr-Reeve Community Schools, Eastern Greene Schools, Shoals Community School Corporation, and North Daviess Community Schools – are encouraged to attend and learn more about the Academy, the Cohort 3 application process, and the opportunities available to students interested in microelectronics and other high-demand technology careers.
